Elemental Heroes Tower Defense

An idle tower-defense game with elemental heroes, built in Unity

Enemies march down a winding path towards the player's tower; heroes placed along the path attack them automatically. Between battles the player collects heroes across five elements — fire, water, nature, light and dark — upgrades them and builds a squad whose elements work together. Our team fully developed the game in Unity.

The product

What it does, and for whom

An idle, auto-battling take on tower defense: the strategy lies in which heroes go into the squad and how their elements combine, rather than in tapping during the fight. Boss raids and new regions add stronger enemies as the player progresses.

Core loop

Inside a battle

A battle in progress: the enemy wave on the path, five heroes on their pads shooting elemental attacks, and the squad's hero cards along the bottom.

  2. Heroes attack automatically

Each hero fires elemental attacks at enemies in range — no tapping needed.

  3. Build the squad between battles

Collect, upgrade and combine heroes so their elements cover each other's weaknesses.

More of the game

  1. Heroes across five elements

Every hero belongs to an element — fire, water, nature, light or dark — shown by the colour of the card and its emblem. Upgrades raise a hero's star rating.

Hero collection: one hero per element.
