Word and Quiz Games

A clue-solving word puzzle, a picture-clue quiz and a scripture trivia game

Three word and quiz games developed for clients. In the word puzzle, a clue is answered by swapping two letters of the word on screen. In the picture quiz, two small pictures combine into one word that the player spells. The trivia game asks multiple-choice questions about scripture against the clock.

The product

What it does, and for whom

Word and quiz games reward knowledge and quick thinking in short rounds. Each game here pairs a simple question format with help for players who get stuck — hints, letter reveals or a word explanation — and its own way of keeping score.

Scope The clients run the games and their store presence. To keep the clients confidential, the game names are withheld, and every screen on this page is recreated in the game's style for this portfolio with new example clues, pictures, numbers and questions — not a screenshot of the delivered game.

The games

  1. Two-letter word puzzle

The screen shows a clue and a word of six letters; swapping exactly two of those letters gives the answer. Players choose how hard the clues are, earn coins, can buy a hint, race the timer or turn it off, and see the meaning of the answer once it is solved.

Two recreated screens over a soft painted still life: the clue “Woven container for carrying shopping” with the letter tiles M, A, R, K, E, T, an Easy badge, 265 coins and a timer at 41; and the solved clue with BASKET, its two changed letters highlighted, a “Well done!” message, the dictionary meaning of basket and a Next clue button
A clue in play, and the answer explained. Close-ups on phones: tap any image for the full screen.
  2. Picture-clue word quiz

Two pictures pinned to a board stand for one word. The player spells it from loose letter tiles and can spend hints to add a letter, clear away letters that don't belong or solve the puzzle; solved puzzles are ticked off in the puzzle grid.

Two recreated screens on a turquoise background: puzzle 4 of 24 with a star and a fish pinned to a wooden board, the answer STAR FISH partly filled in green tiles, three hint buttons and loose letters below; and the puzzle grid with pairs of pictures, the first three ticked as solved and the star and fish highlighted as the current puzzle
Spelling the answer, and the puzzle grid. Close-ups on phones: tap any image for the full screen.
  3. Scripture trivia game

A multiple-choice quiz about scripture. The player picks how many questions to play, then answers each one from three options while a clock runs and points add up.

Two recreated screens over a landscape of mountains, palms and hills: a wooden panel asking how many questions to play, with 15 selected and 30 and 45 as options; and question 5 of 15 asking on how many days the world was made before the day of rest in the creation account, with the answers five, six and seven, six marked correct, a 04:12 timer and 120 points
Choosing the quiz length, and a question in play. Close-ups on phones: tap any image for the full screen.

About these images: every screen on this page is recreated in the game's style for this portfolio, with new example clues, pictures, numbers and questions and no game names or logos, to keep the clients confidential. The screens follow each game's real layout and mechanics, but they are not screenshots of the delivered games.
